Gene Brabender

This mighty 6’5″ 225- lb hurler would playfully bend the spikes used to fasten the tarpaulin. His busiest year was 1969, when he went 13-14 for the Pilots. Used in relief by the World Champion 1966 Orioles, the bespectacled Brabender was 4-3.
