Homer Summa

A two-time minor league batting champion, Summa hit .328 in his first full major league season, 1923, and remained an Indians regular through 1928. On May 31, 1927, he lined into an unassisted triple play turned by Detroit first baseman Johnny Neun. Sold to the A’s before the 1929 season, he appeared as a pinch hitter in the 1929 World Series. Dropped to the Pacific Coast League in 1930, he played there until 1933.
