Joe Orsulak

A starter on some non-contenders, the aggressive, speedy singles-hitter hit .300 in 1985, his first full season. He stole 24 bases that year and in 1986, but was let go after his average dropped to .249. He came back with Baltimore in 1988 and hit a career-high eight HR, then led the resurgent 1989 Orioles with a .285 average. He lost his only chance to play for a contender when Florida traded him just before their 1997 championship season as part of a deal for Cliff Floyd.
