Johnny Lewis

Shy and quiet, Lewis played in a shell, never realizing the stardom predicted for him. His career highlight came on June 14, 1965 when he homered leading off the 10th inning at Crosley Field to break up Jim Maloney‘s no-hitter and win the game 1-0 for the Mets. That was his only year as a regular; he hit .245 with 15 HR, 45 RBI, and 64 runs.
