Ken Holloway

“As a handler of men, Ty Cobb is cruel, autocratic, and entirely without sympathy,” said Holloway, a Tiger curveballer. “Cobb made his pitchers throw a beanball. One day I ignored his order to throw at Joe Judge. Even though I got Judge to pop up, it cost me a hundred dollar fine.” Holloway’s best seasons were 1924 (14-6), when his nine relief wins led the AL, and 1925 (13-4).
