Ken Johnson

Johnson was the ultimate hard-luck pitcher: He pitched a no-hitter for the Astros against the Reds on April 24, 1964 but lost 1-0 on two walks and two errors. He first gained notice when he was acquired by the Reds in July 1961 and went 6-2 for them (6-6 on the season) as they won a surprise pennant. He had his first winning season in 1965 when he was traded to the Braves in May; he finished at 16-10, 3.42, and followed up with 14-8 and 13-9 seasons before falling below .500 for the rest of his career.
