Lonnie Paul Dade

A good-fielding third baseman in the minors, Dade played out his option with the Angels and became the Indians regular left fielder in 1977 (Buddy Bell was established at third base). He hit a powerless .291 with 65 runs and 16 steals in 134 games. Traded to the Padres in June 1979 for Mike Hargrove, he moved back to third base, but hit .189 in 1980 while sharing third base with Luis SalazarTim Flannery, and Aurelio Rodriguez.
