Max Kase

Kase was sports editor and columnist (“Brief Kase”) for the New York Journal American from 1938 until the paper folded in 1966. He won the Pulitzer Prize in 1950 for exposing the college basketball scandal. Kase ‘s career began in 1917 with International News Service. He was sports editor of the Havana Telegram and Boston American before moving to New York, where he also operated two restaurants.
