Nelson Santovenia

Santovenia won the Expos’ catching job in 1988 and hit .235 with eight HR and 41 RBI in 309 at-bats. The Cuban improved his average in 1989 while sharing the job with Mike Fitzgerald. However, he was unproductive the following two seasons, and refused to report to the minor leagues in June 1991. The Expos released him that December.
