Pat Jarvis

Hard-nosed Pat Jarvis was the Braves’ number-three starter behind Phil Niekro and Ron Reed in the late 1960s. He won between 13 and 16 games a year from 1967 to 1970 and had just one losing ML season (1971, 6-14). In the 1969 LCS, Jarvis started and lost the final game to the Mets. He was a rodeo rider before playing baseball.
