RJ Reynolds

Reynolds began switch-hitting in his third pro season, and compiled a .307 minor league average. But leg injuries, his trouble with righthanded pitching, and his propensity to strike out kept him a fourth outfielder. Dubbed “Shoes” by Dodger teammates for his vast assortment of footwear, he was traded to Pittsburgh in 1985 along with Sid Bream and Cecil Espy in a deal for 1B Bill Madlock.
