Robert Creamer

A senior editor at Sports Illustrated from 1954 to 1984, Creamer ghosted Quality of Courage for Mickey Mantle in 1964 and wrote Jocko with Jocko Conlan (1967), and Rhubarb in the Catbird Seat with Red Barber (1968). He was co-author of The Yankees (1979) and Stengel: His Life and Times (1984), and his 1974 book Babe: The Legend Comes to Life is considered the definitive biography of Babe Ruth.
