Sam Streeter

Spitballing Sam Streeter pitched in the Negro Leagues for 15 years and was the starting pitcher in the 1933 East-West all-star game. In the Negro Southern League’s first season, 1920, he helped the Montgomery Grey Sox to the pennant. He pitched a perfect game in a 3-0 win over Atlanta and threw 20 consecutive strikes in a game against the Chicago Black Sox, a barnstorming team. In 1924 and 1927 he led the Birmingham Black Barons in innings pitched, strikeouts, and wins. He led the Negro National League in games and innings pitched in 1930.
