In 1964, poised 19-year-old Wally Bunker burst into the ML with a one-hit shutout, victories in his first six starts, and a 19-5 rookie year with Baltimore. He developed a sore arm the next year and was only a part-time pitcher after that. He threw a six-hit shutout in the 1966 WS and won 12 games for the expansion Kansas City Royals in 1969 before arm miseries ended his career.
