The Pilots played their last game in Seattle on October 2, 1969. The Oakland A‘s defeated the Pilots 3-1, behind winning pitcher Jim Roland. The loser was Steve Barber. Steve Whitaker hit the last home run for the Pilots. In 1970, just weeks before the season started, the Pilots moved to Milwaukee to become the Brewers.
