On September 27, 1953, the Browns played the White Sox in St. Louis in their final game. In 11 innings, Chicago defeated the Browns 2-1. Billy Pierce was the winning pitcher and Duane Pillette got the loss. In 1954, the Browns moved to Baltimore and became the Orioles.
