Al Michaels

Identified immediately as a Vin Scully sound-alike when he started broadcasting the Giants from 1974 to 1976, Michaels has become nationally recognized and popular for his own accomplishments. He became ABC’s number-one Monday Night Baseball announcer in 1983 after seven seasons working backup games. His most famous call, however, remains his countdown to the gold medal for the underdog U.S. hockey team in the 1980 Olympics, concluding with a joyous “Do you believe in miracles? Yes!”
