Cliff Chambers

After a disappointing 2-9 debut in 1948 with the last-place Cubs, Chambers was dealt to Pittsburgh, where he led Pirate pitchers with 13 victories in 1949 and 12 in 1950. The 6’3″ Oregonian won a career-high 14 games in 1951; he started that season with Pittsburgh, but went to the Cardinals in the seven-player June trade that moved Joe Garagiola to the Pirates.
