Marty Glickman

An All-East football tailback at Syracuse University and a sprinter on the 1936 U.S. Olympic team, Glickman broadcast games from the Western Union ticker on WHN in New York before WWII, and broadcast a nightly re-creation of a New York game from 1940 to 1953. When night baseball took over and the Dodgers moved to Los Angeles, Glickman concentrated on New York pro football broadcasts.
