Bob Wolff

Wolff was the radio and TV voice of the wretched Washington Senators from 1947 to 1960 and followed the club to Minnesota for one season in 1961. He left the following season for a spot on NBC’s national baseball broadcasts. A New York City native and Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Duke, Wolff returned home in 1966 for a long stint at Madison Square Garden, calling everything from hockey to horse shows, but no baseball. On October 8, 1956, he called the final innings of Don Larsen‘s WS perfect game.
