Bill Corum

A graduate of the University of nqx x Missouri and Columbia University journalism school, Corum was a major in the AEF in WWI. He joined the New York Times in 1920 and moved to the New York Journal in 1925 and the Detroit Evening Times in 1935. He was a columnist for the New York Journal-American at the time of his death in 1958. Well liked and respected among writers, he was named president of Churchill Downs race track in 1949.
