Bob Sebra

Sebra was one of two players the Expos acquired for Pete Incaviglia in 1985 when the first-round draft choice refused to sign a contract, and he led the Expos with 156 strikeouts in 1987, including 14 against the Cubs July 1.

Sebra, who relied on a sharp curveball, began the 1988 season at Indianapolis (American Association), and was traded to the Phillies in September. Oddly, his NL debut is sometimes erroneously listed as July 13, 1986, even though he was not promoted from the minors until July 24, because his first appearance was in the completion of a suspended game.
