In 1915 Hill and Lee Meadows were the first two pitchers to wear glasses in the majors. After winning 22 for Pittsburgh in 1927, Hill started Game Four of the WS against the Yankees and gave up the home run that Babe Ruth is shown hitting on the Ruth 20-cent stamp issued in 1983.
