Clint Brown

One of the first relief aces, the righthanded junk-baller threw underhand, sidearm, and three-quarters. His 61 appearances in 1939 set the (since broken) ML record for relievers. A fair starter for the Indians from 1930 through 1933, with a 15-12 mark in 1932 his best, he was switched to relief in 1934 and then sold to the White Sox two years later. He led the AL in saves (18) in 1937 and relief wins (11) in 1939.
