Cy Morgan

Morgan, a spitballer, was 31 when Connie Mack acquired him from the Red Sox to help the A’s win championships in 1910 and 1911. Morgan went 18-12 and 15-7, but with 20-game winner Jack Coombs and Hall of Famers Eddie Plank and Chief Bender on the A’s staff, he was not used in either World Series.
