Dave Hamilton

Hamilton was the fifth starter on the A’s teams that won three consecutive World Championships, 1972-74. Traded to the White Sox with Chet Lemon for Stan Bahnsen and Skip Pitlock in June 1975, he was used almost exclusively in relief. In 1976 he was made the stopper of the bullpen, collecting 10 saves while Chicago made an ill-advised attempt to convert Goose Gossage into a starter.
