A Braves reliever for eight of his nine ML seasons, Johnson pitched well in the 1957 WS but lost Game Six when he surrendered a solo home run to the Yankees Hank Bauer. Johnson has been with the Braves organization more than forty years and has been a full-time broadcaster since 1966.
