Franklin Stubbs

Stubbs led the Dodgers with 23 homers in 1986, but hit no better than .233 in his first five ML seasons. A husky lefthanded hitter, he held the Dodgers’ first base and left field jobs several times, but was never able to keep either one. After an April 1, 1990 trade to the Astros, he matched his career-high 23 homers, but fell flat the next year after signing with Milwaukee.
