Jack Fisher

With Baltimore in 1960, Fisher enjoyed his only winning season, going 12-11. That year he faced Ted Williams on September 28, allowing the Splendid Splinter to homer in his final ML at-bat. Almost a year later, on September 26, 1961, Fisher surrendered Roger Maris‘s 60th homer of the 1961 season. He pitched the Mets’ first game at Shea Stadium (April 17, 1964), but was not involved in the decision as the Pirates won, 4-3. Fisher lost NL-highs of 24 in 1965 and 18 in 1967 for the Mets.
