Jerry Willard

One of five players obtained from Philadelphia for Von Hayes in 1982, Willard caught regularly for Cleveland in 1984-85, batting .270 in 1985. Deficient defensively and poor at calling a game, he was released on April 1, 1986.

Signed by Oakland, Williard platooned with Mickey Tettleton that season. He was a little-used backup for the rest of his career, never getting more than 48 at-bats in any season after 1986.
