Jim Shellenback

Shellenback suffered severe injuries, including a broken leg, in an auto wreck on October 1, 1967 – five days after defeating the Dodgers 2-1 in 11 innings in his first major league start. That turned out to be his last victory for Pittsburgh. At his best, he won six games with the 1970 Senators. He became a longtime minor league coach for the Twins. His uncle Frank Shellenback pitched for the White Sox.
