John Pacella

The Mets first called up Pacella in 1977, the year he pitched a no-hitter for Jackson (Texas League) against Tulsa in April. The Brooklyn native had no great success for the Mets, but threw with such effort that his cap fell off after nearly every pitch. The Mets traded him with infielder Jose Moreno to the Padres for former Cy Young winner Randy Jones in December 1980.
