Kevin Hickey

Hickey was a softball pitcher signed out of a public tryout by the White Sox in 1978. Arm trouble interrupted his career after three years, but he made a successful comeback with the 1989 Orioles, posting a 2.92 ERA in 51 outings. His herky-jerky motion made him effective in both long and short relief. After his strong comeback season, however, Hickey struggled in his last two years with Baltimore.
