Mark Salas

The much-traveled Salas enjoyed career highs in virtually every offensive catagory in his first full ML season (1985) when he hit .300 with 9 HR and 41 RBI as the Twins number-one catcher, but never hit above .250 after. He was traded to the Yankees for Joe Niekro in June 1987, then dealt to the White Sox with Dan Pasqua and Steve Rosenberg for Rich Dotson and Scott Nielsen in November. His major league career ended in 1991, when he hit a paltry .088 for the Tigers in 57 at-bats.
