Mike Hershberger

Quick and strong-armed, Hershberger was called up to the White Sox in late 1961 and hit .309 down the stretch. Once he became a regular, however, his hitting tailed off. His .279 in 1963 was his career best for any season as a regular. Despite his so-so bat, his defensive ability kept him in the majors for eleven seasons. He led AL outfielders with 17 assists in 1967.
