Pat Patterson

Available data shows him hitting .346 with the Pittsburgh Crawfords in 1935; .349 in the 1937 Dominican League; .340 in the 1940 Mexican League and .321 there in 1946; and .320 with the 1947 Newark Eagles. He hit .313 for Pittsburgh in the 1935 NNL playoffs, and .261 for Newark in their 1946 Black World Series triumph. In four all-star appearances, including starts at third base for the East in 1939 and 1942, he batted .300. He was one of seven Negro Leaguers named in a 1938 New York Daily News column by white sportswriter Jimmy Powers as being capable of helping the New York Giants win the pennant.
