Primarily an outfielder, Moore could fill in anywhere, and even caught when necessary. A steady performer with the Boston Braves, he reached highs of 135 games and a .302 batting average in 1933. A Texan, he made a fortune in the oil business after his playing career ended and made wealthy men of former Braves teammates by tipping them off to investments.
