Roy Moore

After the Athletics paid Waco (Texas League) $5,000 for Moore in 1920, he lost his first 13 decisions before recording his sole win of the season. He went 10-10 in 1921, but walked almost twice as many as he struck out. He was a good hitter for a pitcher, batting .257 with three HR in 1921 and hitting .239 lifetime; Connie Mack used him as a pinch hitter on five occasions, but he went 0-for-5.
