Russ Snyder

Snyder was a gum-cracking rookie in 1959, when he hit .313 in 73 games for the A’s. A Baltimore outfielder from 1961 through 1967, he twice batted higher than .300, reaching .306 for the 1966 World Champions. On April 29, 1962, he hit safely as a pinch hitter twice in one inning. He once scored from second base on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Brooks Robinson.
