On August 30, 1969 with the Senators, Cullen tied a ML record for second basemen by committing three errors in one inning. In 1970 he led AL second basemen with a .994 fielding percentage. The San Francisco native’s best batting average came as a utility man in his last season, when he hit .261 across the bay in Oakland.
