Scott Terry

Terry was shelled regularly out of the Reds’ bullpen his rookie season. He found poise and success in the Cardinal pen, and when inserted into the St. Louis rotation in August 1988, he reeled off seven straight victories.

An outfielder in the minors, Terry achieved an unusual distinction in 1989: his two home runs to centerfield, both traveling more than 400 feet, were the longest hit at Busch Stadium that season. He returned to the bullpen in 1991, his final season in the bigs, and compiled a 2.80 ERA in 65 games.
