Bill Jackowski

Jackowski was the plate umpire on September 18, 1968 when the Cardinals Ray Washburn pitched a no-hitter against the Giants the day after San Francisco’s Gaylord Perry no-hit St. Louis, the first consecutive game no-hitters in history. It was the second no-hitter called by Jackowski that season, making him one of ten umpires to have worked the plate for two no-hitters in one season.
