Art Fromme

After two consecutive 5-13 seasons for the Cardinals, Fromme was traded to the Reds and blossomed with a 19-13 mark and 1.90 ERA in 1909. Illness ruined his 1910 season, but he came back to win 16 in 1912. Early in 1913 he was traded to the Giants with Eddie Grant for Josh DevoreRed Ames, Heinie Groh, and $20,000. Although he was 20-11 for New York in 1913-14, he was regarded as a disappointment, and manager McGraw did not use him in the 1913 World Series.
