Claude Willoughby

In Willoughby’s best season, 1929, he was 15-14 with a 4.99 ERA. He compounded the problems of pitching in tiny Baker Bowl with his poor control, walking a league-leading 108 batters (in 243 innings). After falling off to 4-17, 7.59 in 1930, he was traded with Tommy Thevenow for Dick Bartell.
